This is one of my favorite restaurants. Try the grilled beef spring rolls but don't try the egg drop soup. They have great items but choose wisely.
Overview
If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some delicious, authentic Vietnamese food in Corpus Christi, Hu-Dat Noodle House is a must-visit. Nestled at 6418 S Staples St #102, this charming diner offers a unique menu brimming with fresh and flavorful dishes that cater to both traditional tastes and modern preferences.
One of the standout features of Hu-Dat Noodle House is its welcoming atmosphere. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, unpretentious setting that instantly makes you feel at home. Whether you're dining solo, grabbing a quick meal with friends, or enjoying a family outing, the vibe here strikes the perfect balance between casual and inviting. The friendly staff adds to the experience, providing excellent service with a smile, which enhances the overall enjoyment of your meal.
The menu is where the true magic happens, with a wide array of dishes that showcase the bold flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. One of the top dishes to try is the Pho, a fragrant noodle soup that's a classic staple of Vietnamese dining. Itβs served with a generous helping of tender meat, often beef or chicken, swimming in a savory, aromatic broth that has been simmered for hours to perfection. The herbs and condiments that accompany the Pho elevate the dish, giving it a fresh and zesty kick.
But pho isnβt the only thing Hu-Dat Noodle House excels at. The Bun Bo Hue, another beloved Vietnamese noodle dish, is packed with vibrant, spicy flavors that perfectly balance out the savory broth and tender meat. The noodles are fresh, and the toppings-like crispy pork skin, fresh herbs, and bean sprouts-add texture and flavor that take each bite to the next level.
If you're in the mood for something lighter, the Goi Cuon (Vietnamese spring rolls) are a great option. Fresh, crispy, and packed with ingredients like shrimp, lettuce, mint, and vermicelli noodles, these rolls are served with a peanut dipping sauce thatβs both tangy and creamy. It's a refreshing choice for anyone wanting to start their meal with something cool and satisfying.
For those who enjoy a more substantial meal, the restaurant also offers various rice plates and stir-fried dishes, all featuring high-quality ingredients and vibrant vegetables. The rice dishes, often served with grilled pork, chicken, or shrimp, are satisfying without feeling too heavy, making them a perfect choice for a fulfilling lunch or dinner.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the drink selection at Hu-Dat Noodle House. The restaurant offers a range of traditional Vietnamese drinks, including the refreshing iced coffee made with sweetened condensed milk, which pairs perfectly with the rich, savory flavors of the meal. You can also find other traditional beverages, such as Thai iced tea and fresh fruit juices, which are both flavorful and thirst-quenching.
What sets Hu-Dat Noodle House apart from other diners in the area is its attention to detail. From the high-quality ingredients used in each dish to the thoughtful presentation and customer service, everything feels well-crafted and cared for. The restaurant has earned rave reviews from both locals and visitors, with many praising the authenticity and flavor of the dishes. Customers regularly comment on the freshness of the ingredients and the consistency of the food, making it a reliable go-to spot for anyone craving great Vietnamese cuisine.
One of the restaurantβs best qualities is its affordability. Despite offering high-quality dishes made with fresh ingredients, Hu-Dat Noodle House keeps its prices reasonable, making it an excellent option for those who want to enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Another reason to love this place is the convenience of its location. Positioned in a prime spot in Corpus Christi, itβs easy to access for both locals and travelers. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite during lunch or enjoying a leisurely dinner, the restaurant's location makes it simple to fit into your busy schedule.
Whether you're a long-time fan of Vietnamese food or new to the cuisine, Hu-Dat Noodle House is the perfect place to explore bold flavors, try new dishes, and enjoy a meal in a welcoming environment. From their signature Pho to the fresh spring rolls and mouth-watering rice plates, every visit promises something new and exciting.

Great restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food. Iβm a dedicated lover of pho, and the pho barbicoa is a special treat everyone should try. The broth and the meat are really full of flavor and will become one of your favorite dishes. The staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!!
I love Joey. Thank you so much for making ordering easy and never judging us for adding more five minutes after calling to place the order. Been coming here for over 7 years now, and Joey has been as consistent as the food. Love this place.
I go for lunch most often and it is timely and delicious. The staff is as friendly as it gets. You simply walk up and order. There are so many great dishes, but I get their sesame chicken probably once a month and it is top notch.
Went for lunch today. We got there about 11:45 and there was no line. I got the pho with shrimp. In less than 10 minutes, my soup was at the table. The soup came out hot, the noodles tender, and the shrimp cooked perfectly. On the table if you wanted it were different sauces, and with the pho they bring out of plate with cilantro and some other items to put in your soup if you want to use it. I got the small soup for the first time and Iβm glad I did, Iβm usually way too full with the large one and the small one was the perfect amount for lunch. The place has a real nice atmosphere, itβs clean, and the owner and the servers are very pleasant and attentive. Over the years weβve eaten here many times and everything on the menu we have had has been delicious.
Food was delicious as always. Servers were at the central station chatting, but easy to flag down for refills and the check. All in all the food was delicious and not too expensive and just what I expect and love from Hu-Dat.
